Cape Carteret Aquatic & Wellness Center is proud to offer an After & Before school for children. The program offers activities for children in grades K-5th after school hours. The program allows children to enjoy a fun, safe environment with structured supervision. Children have the opportunity to: begin homework assignments, go swimming, play games & sports in the gym, and outside play.

• $300.00 per month After School Care         
• $100.00 per month Before School Care      
• $350 for Before & After School Care

*All fees are drafted monthly from credit or debit cards.

CCAW Before & After School program takes place Monday-Friday each week from 3pm – 6pm in the After School building facing Taylor Notion Road. The program operates on the Carteret County Public School System’s annual School Calendar, with the following exceptions:

• Teacher Workdays:  Students will be accommodated. Program hours are 7:30am – 5:30pm.
• Parents must PRE-REGISTER at the afterschool front desk
• Early Release Days:  Students will be accommodated on these days.
• The program will NOT take place on HOLIDAYS:
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Break
  • Easter Monday
  • Memorial Day

Inclement Weather: We follow Carteret County Schools’ policy for inclement weather closings. If the school is closed for bad weather, we are closed.  If the school closes EARLY for bad weather the bus will bring the students to the Aquatic Center and parents must pick their children up by 3 pm.

Transportation is provided by our 15 passenger van (No school bus transportation , if needed. White Oak Elementary provides transportation for students living in the Star Hill area (bus 212), Coldwater Creek area (bus 244) and the Silver Creek Landing area (bus 246). We will confirm the transportation. *Additional fee for using our van is $12.50 per week.

Homework Assignments: Staff will encourage participants to begin their homework assignments and will offer help when possible.

Withdrawal Notice: Parent’s must give a minimum of two weeks’ notice to remove their child from the After School Program without incurring a penalty charge.
*Penalty Charge is $100 per child for early withdraw.
