A no nonsense approach to strengthening your abdominals and back. Jack Butler leads the group in early morning core strengthening using therapy balls, bands, and mat exercises. If you don't do any other classes, this one is a MUST.

Sunrise Cardio
Start the day out with a BANG! This early aerobic class encompasses use of the step, hand weights, and basic aerobic moves. The great thing is you never know what Mary or Michelle will be doing next. Excitement and friendship plus a terrific workout will keep you ready to face every day.

A combination of step exercises and hand weights make for a complete workout for those who prefer more than just aerobics.
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCE LEVELS
Tighten & Tone
Use of a variety of equipment to increase muscle tone and core strength. This class will challenge both the upper and lower body while strengthening the cardiovascular system. This class is formatted to increase your knowledge of free weights and proper form in lifting.

Aquatic Fitness
The water offers the perfect environment to exercise safely and effectively. When standing in chest deep water a person weighs 1/10 their body weight. When moving around in the water it is 12 times as difficult to move compared to air. Add the resistance of the water to the buoyancy and comfort of the water and you have a perfect environment to workout for all ages.

Muscle Strength & Range Of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.
Muscle Tones for Old Bones
A floor-based class to enhance functional fitness for senior adults through core conditioning, strength, and balance activities. Equipment used will at various times include therapy and weighted balls, therabands, body bars, dumbbells, and mats. Chairs will be available for safety. |
